All lunches from the grill must be pre-ordered. If you are late to class due to picking up lunch from the grill you will be asked to receive a tardy.

Key and Interact and SGA are co-sponsoring a necessity drive for the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home. Each AVID class should bring in donations and the class that brings in the most donations will win an ice cream party. Please see the flyers for items to donate.
The month of March recognizes influential women in our history. We will recognize our very own Mrs. Lashay Williams. Mrs. Lashay is very dedicated to our scholars' success, well-being, and mental health. March 3- 9th is school social workers week and we would like Mrs.Williams to know that we appreciate her and for being an amazing woman!

This is Principal McGeachy with the first update in March! Believe it or not, only 45 instructional days are left before we begin EOC testing and end-of-semester exams! Here are this week’s updates:
First, I want to share that your efforts to support our National Honor Society fundraiser at Zaxby’s last week are greatly appreciated! Our scholars were presented with a check for $450! Again, we appreciate the support of our Eagle families and community stakeholders.
Scholars enrolled in Math 1 and Math 3 will take their benchmark assessments this week. The Math 3 check-in will be on Tuesday, and the Math 1 check-in will be on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, we will have our National Honor Society induction ceremony and Soaring Through the Center ceremony for selected scholars at 5:30 p.m. in the Brown Auditorium.
On Thursday, our junior scholars will be visiting N.C. State University to learn about the academic opportunities available on the Wolfpack campus.
On Friday, we will hold our Black History Month/Women’s History Month Program at 10:00 a.m. in the Brown Auditorium. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Shanta’ Hinton. Dr. Hinton is a graduate of Nash County Public Schools and currently serves as a Professor of Biology at the College of William and Mary.
Lastly, report cards will be available in PowerSchool on Friday, March 8th.

Tune into Spectrum News on Friday, March 1, 2024 - in a detailed interview, Jeannie Kerr, Project AWARE director at Nash County Public Schools (NCPS), shared insights into the district's efforts to enhance student safety and mental well-being. With new safety legislation effective March 1, Nash County Public Schools has updated its protocols accordingly.
Nash County Public Schools, distinguished as one of six districts in North Carolina to receive the Project AWARE grant, exemplifies commitment to creating a secure educational setting. This grant, provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and managed through the Department of Public Instruction, highlights the district's proactive approach to student safety.

This week, our scholars will be involved in testing on Monday and Tuesday. Scholars enrolled in Biology will take a benchmark assessment on Monday, and our Junior scholars will take the ACT test on Tuesday.
On Thursday, February 29th, Nash Community College will host a FAFSA Family Night in the campus library from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
